The Gift that keeps on giving

ADG is collecting toys from our Gumbo guests to be shipped directly into the arms of children in the 9th Ward of post-Katrina New Orleans. Last year we shipped nearly 250 super-cool quality toys to kids in need, and we hope to exceed that this year! Help bring a smile to the face of a child in a community that hasn't seen much joy over the last few years. We're grateful to be so blessed and are thrilled to give back! Join in!

" The Crawdaddies are a little like a steaming bowl of Louisiana gumbo."
- Pete Kerzel | AOL City Guide
Let the Good Times Roll! One of our favorite ingredients at our yearly Gumbo party is definitely The Crawdaddies. The Crawdaddies combine Louisiana's Cajun, Zydeco and Blues sounds with North Eastern's Roots Rock, Americana and Ska. Their sound is unquestionably its own and that is why we love it. Each road-seasoned member hosts an impressive and diverse musical / performance resume, most notably, 2008 Emmy award recipient Greff who toured with Della Reese, Barry White, Joe Williams and Diana Ross. The band has toured the USA for 12+ years earning a strong grass roots following and is a regular fixture on the national college, festival and theater circuits. We are honored to have them back again for year number 7!

Gumbo Is Life.
The word "gumbo" means community, and in our mind it symbolizes the gathering of friends, and peers joining together for a common purpose. In the case of Gumbo & Mistletoe, it's to celebrate our blessings and share them with others. So when you RSVP to our invitation, you'll reference the secret ingredient number hidden therein. Don't worry, we'll tell you where to find it when you call in.
The recipe for Gumbo? Pick a date, and add friends…it's that simple. You'll bring an ingredient, and its gets added to the pot as you arrive. We hope that you'll consider joining us for an evening that we believe you'll remember for some time to come! Mark your calendar, put on your dancin' shoes, prepare to enjoy.

"Let them eat
Cake!"
How'd you like to be King of the Gumbo Festivites? A sticky, coffee cake-type pastry—The King Cake—is arguably the most delicious (next to the Gumbo) symbol of New Orleans and Mardi Gras. The King Cake tradition was introduced to New Orleans by the first French settlers and has been around ever since.

The ADG Cigar Tent
"Ah, if only I had brought a cigar with me! This would have established my identity."
- Charles Dickens
A fine cigar is a requisite accessory for any legitimate discussion about world politics, global economies, or the best methods for primping an ascot. And ADG's Cigar Tent is the perfect venue, offering refined after-dinner banter—encircled by rich curls of cigar smoke and brimming with jolly-goods and attaboys. CCO Jeff Antkowiak handpicks the selection of cigars, and his capable staff custom cuts your stogie on demand. So come, gentlefolk: let us retire to the Cigar Tent. We have great matters to discuss.
